At the beginning of October, local carriage drivers will be hosting a unique gathering of horseman to Hamilton, MA.  Members of the New York Coaching Club and other notable drivers from around the United States will bring their historic coaches and four horses to enjoy driving on the North Shore and bring a piece of history back to our streets.

For the past few decades, this group has been the feature of the Newport Coaching Weekend.  Coaching is the draw for eight or nine social affairs including the infamous Saturday night Gala at the Breakers. It has become a celebration of fashion and history brought to a very high level by these sportsman and collectors.

During the three days of driving, the different routes will pass a few of our important equestrian properties.  Starting from the Myopia Schooling Field, the group of an expected 13 drivers will pass the Patton Homestead, Groton House Farm, Bradley Palmer State Park, Waldingfield, Appleton Farms and Brackenside.   Residents of Hamilton and surrounding towns will witness a spectacle not seen in many years.
